The enthusiasm and appreciation of Challengers inspires my coaching and it is extremely rewarding to see their continued improvement.
My plan is also to compete on a more regular basis at State and National events

Ian Robinson

My coaching philosophy and speciality is preparing Masters for racing and improving their swimming. I strongly believe that any Adult can enjoy the immense satisfaction of completing any swim. If you are willing to have a go then you will have my admiration and my full attention.

Joined local Swimming Club at the age of 5 and swam competitively until the age of 17 and reached County standard.

In my twenties I worked in the Sport and Leisure industry in charge of the day to day running of a swimming pool and multi sports complex.

Assisted in the coaching of swimmers at the local swim club aged from 9-14.

Taught able-bodied adults to swim at all different levels and helped adults with physical disabilities with their swimming.

In my thirties I spent 5 years swimming in Masters competitions in the UK and in Europe, and achieved top 10 placing in the UK and top 15 in Europe in my age group in Backstroke.

Emigrated to Noosa in 2003 and continued to swim in Masters competitions and have achieved State and National records in all four competitive strokes.

I am currently qualified as a AustSwim Teacher, AustSwim Teacher of toddlers & babies, Junior Assistant Coach, Bronze Licence Coach and a Masters L1M Coach working as a Junior and Adult Coach at Kawana Aquatic Centre.
